WOOHOO!

NaNoWriMo Progress: 10,274!

Ehem. While it's nothing compared to some of the other folks doing this thing, I finally broke the 10k mark... only to realize I forgot to set a 10k prize for myself. :(

The one thing that helped this last day or so was the fact that I realized I could use my BlackBerry to write while on the bus. I hate writing by hand, and my laptop is too monstrous to be of any good, but I realized that I could simply write myself an email and copy/paste it into my story later. w00t.

Yay! 10k is still huge accomplishment.

That is really awesome! You are so gonna get BB thumbs. Hahahah.

It's a really, really fun/exciting milestone to hit, because you are not in FIVE digits! And if you count up the pages, you are probably on page 40 or so (double-spaced, courier, normal margins, which is how editors want the applicants to format their writing), and even higher when formatted for mas paperback! :) Woo!!

Which begs the question... what is the formatting for normal paperbacks?

Lulu has some guidelines here.

Cafepress has a slightly different size selection.

The reason I went with CafePress last year is because it offered the grocery paperback size. You probably want more of the 6 x 9 size though.

Both websites offer word document templates in various sizes for download. Have fun! I wasted way too much time with them last year. Hee.
